A few weeks ago we took a little drive a few miles up the 101 to Los Alamos. When I heard from a couple of friends that there was good food and antique shopping to be found there, I couldn’t wait to check it out.

We arrived shortly after noon, so lunch was the first thing on the agenda. I’d done a little google research and picked Bell Street Farm as our lunch stop. I was so happy with my choice…..not only was the food delicious, but the decor was just perfect!! Simple, timeless, classic. Unfortunately, between only having my iPhone and having to rangel two kids on my own, I didn’t get great pics.

There were so many little pieces that went together to give the whole space a timeless farmhouse feel: stacks of rustic bread boards,  simple white cake plates and dishes, mason jars filled with fresh flowers and simple kraft paper signage.

The painted brick wall, worn farm tables paired with black shaker chairs……gives the restaurant a warm casual vibe.

Simple sheets of kraft paper stamped with the Bell Street mascot covered the tables.

After lunch we wandered up and down the quiet streets, in and out of charming antique stores. I didn’t buy anything, but I’ll definitely be back. If you find your self driving up the 101 in California, I definitely recommend a stop in Los Alamos.
